"HANDS OF TOKYO" BY CAROLINE GRIMPREL
Between 2020 and 2023, Caroline Grimprel developed a photographic practice of capturing the hands of travelers in the subway. Discreetly observing passengers, she sought out the most expressive hands and the most striking clothing styles. From this project, which became an obsession, the artist established a collection of photos that highlight everyday gestures and attitudes, making visible the intimacy of these ephemeral moments.
